At The University of Tennessee, Knoxville I began studying architecture but soon realized that my creativity could be better expressed through graphic design. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. My roots in architecture and print design have influenced my design style by giving me a strong desire for order, structure, and simplicity and have helped me to excel at adapting classic graphic design principles to standards-based web design.
I love web design. Creating a design in Illustrator and Photoshop and then recreating it with code is infinitely interesting and exciting to me. I can not read enough design blogs, books, and manuals! Geeky? Maybe a little.

Buckminster Fuller said "When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong."
